My son has minimal exposure to animals, except cats, dogs and mice. We saw a crocodile statue at the entrance of Zoo Taiping, an attraction to kids whom sat on it like nobody's business. Little Chi, on the other hand, refused to take any picture for the album.

Inside the zoo when we reached the crocodiles' cage, both the kiddos were excited! The young lad kept asking me, "Are those real?", "Can I sit on it?". Sigh, when given the opportunity to pose with the statue, he rejected. Now, with a real one? I objected!!

We realized the animals were kinda reserved during our visit. Because most of the pictures taken came out like this....

Shy away from us and show bum-bums
My kids couldn't care less about the animals' mood and request to visit this place again.

I can see the zoo is flooded with visitors this school holidays...
ReplyDeleteHmm, I guess that's normal, those animals always hide themselves =_=
Most kids like to go to the zoo... good to expose the animals to them for real instead of just pictures in the books. :)
ReplyDeleteNext place, I suggest go Maxwell Hill or Muzium. Different place with different experience.
ReplyDeleteI intend to bring Calvin to Taiping Zoo, but at the end we never make it, too many people lar..
ReplyDeleteI went to Malacca Zoo once and it's even better than KL's Zoo Negara. Yahorr.. why ah.. the animals seemed to show only their bum-bums in the pics? Hahaha..
ReplyDeleteclever boy! only interested in 'real' things!
ReplyDeletewow, zoo ah?? i also cannot remember when was the last time i went to a zoo.. errr, maybe more than 20 years ago to the Zoo Negara lor~~ :D
ReplyDeletehehehe, maybe Little Chi was shy seeing other kids riding on that croc statue so he didn't want to pose for the photo lor..
ReplyDeleteand when he saw the real ones, maybe only Avery and himself there, he gets bold and wanted to try to sit.. or maybe he really felt like conquering a real one?? :D
ReplyDeleteaiyah, what you expect from those animals?? unless they are those trained to entertain tourists, else, i guess they are just too lazy seeing people making fun of themselves.. hahahahaha!!
ReplyDeleteand they must be thinking to themselves.. what are these monkey trying to do?? fooling themselves wanting us to look into their cameras?? :D
ReplyDeleteIt means to say Little Chi wants more kick and chi kek to sit on real life croc haha.
ReplyDeleteLittle Crocodile Dundee in the making......lol!
ReplyDeleteI heard Taiping Zoo is better than Zoo Negara. Haha..Litle Chi is very cute lah..scared of the fake croc but not the real ones. :)
ReplyDeleteHiYvonne, I love your boy's shirt. Have always loved checked shirts.
ReplyDeleteWe have not been to the zoo ages as my wife not too keen on zoos.
Wow. Taping zoo sure has changed a lot since the '70s.
Long ago the animals look like on diet, ha ha.
You have a nice day.
Lee.

ReplyDeletehaha kids are really cute!!! lil chi is behaving naughty as usual!
ReplyDeleteHaha looks like Lil Chi is not into fake things :p Taiping Zoo is a nice place to visit although I have very faint memories of it. Hope to bring Chloe there one day if we have the chance.
ReplyDeleteYvonne,
ReplyDeletekids does not know the meaning of fear. Maybe you can take him to a petty zoo, then he can touch those lesser dangerous animals.
Hi, i haven't brought my son for an outing yet.
ReplyDeleteLittle chi is so cute! hey i heard that the Taiping Zoo is much better than Zoo Negara. I have been there once when I was very young. Hence forgotten how it is. Is the zoo big? I hope to get a chance to visit the Taiping Zoo soon. You know how much we like the zoo eh?
