Earlier I mentioned I dislike all kind of nuts. I gotta take back my words because I ♥ pistachio nuts very much (I totally forgotten about my favourite nut because I only get to eat it once a year - I'm too stingy to buy, as it is superb expensive)!

How not to break your polished fingernails when eating pistachio nut?
This is supposed an old trick but I only realized it now. I'm so slow, haha :p
I love this pistachio nuts too! And I do experience fingers pain, but I don't really mind, hehe.. (tam jiak :P)
ReplyDeleteI think there are those shell-less pistachio nuts selling in the market, but I think they taste not as good as the original ones.. ;)
DeleteI love pistachios too. I have a packet at home. Must eat them soon. Maybe you can use something like a spoon to open the shell. For me, I usually use my fingers.

DeleteAll nuts must come in hard shells. The worst shells are from Almond and Walnuts! It is strange that you disliked most nuts!

ReplyDeleteThese nuts can be addictive, eat one sure eat 10! Its quite cheap where we are but I prefer more peanuts.....the ones where you steamed them.
And yes, these pistachios are nail breakers. Good to have at get togethers.....my wife will buy when we have friends over, and they chat and gossip while breaking and eating these nuts.
I will eat, but let my wife peel for me, ha ha.

oh, i didnt know about the spoon trick..most of the time i just break the shells using my fingers and sometimes just bite it off :D

ReplyDeleteI dont much fancy nuts too except Macadamia nuts!! Yummy! I lazy to crack open the pistachio and usually my hubby will crack and feed me and the kids. hehehe! So I have someone to crack the nuts for me.

There's a half packet of pistachio nuts from Chinese New Year, I've just peeled off the shells a few days ago, and keeping the nuts for my cookie baking, since nobody wants to eat them! If you are nearby, you can help me finish the nuts! :)
