Teacher Appreciation Day

I am busy lately, with little time/energy left by end of the day. I've slow down in blogging and bloghopping. I'm guilty of leaving my blog unattended for more than a month; I have many things to share... I better keep the backdated stuffs to myself :p

Everyone was affected by GE13 and so was I. Then came Mother's Day a week after and today, it is Teacher's Day. I managed to bake 22 cupcakes for my kids in 2 batches for 2 hours yesterday, wrapped them nicely and wrote appreciation note for 11 teachers.

"Teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions"
Happy Teacher's Day

p/s: My sister said, it is tough to be a modern mom - employee, caregiver, cook, maid, chauffeur, blogger and now, party/gift organizer.

Somehow I feel being a modern mom and moms during when we were smaller are both tough.

We may hold many hats now, but Mom in yesteryears hold many hats too, and do things without modern conveniences that we now take for granted.

    Salute Moms!

That's my belated wish for all Moms out there for Mother's Day. Happy belated mother's day Ah Hua. :)

  8. This year so many mummies baked cup cakes for teachers! My wife also received a few and some came with individual cartoon icings! It has become a trend in KL now that parents showed appreciation for teachers. Funny thing was that not all teachers received cup cakes and they looked bad!!

  18. "it is tough to be a modern mom - employee, caregiver, cook, maid, chauffeur, blogger and now, party/gift organizer".. i like this quote, hahaha!! and i guess there are still more roles played by the modern mom nowadays, at least don't forget being a wife, a daughter in law, a boss to the nanny, baker for the teachers etc etc~~ :D

  19. is that compulsory for every student to get something for their teacher?? i don't remember we were requested to do that last time.. the school will prepare everything, and the teachers didn't expect anything from the students too.. aren't teachers teach without expecting returns?? haha~~
